All You Cannot Fly – Wizz Air
Wizz Air All You Can Fly
A few days ago, I received an email from Wizz Air telling me that they launched the All You Can Fly scheme again. It’s €500. I was going to go for it in a heartbeat. I was already planning my next trips.
Please note that I already have two flights for November and one more in December. And my work is quite busy. It’s not that easy to get time off. Even though my next two months travels are already booked, I was going to buy it.
Then, I talked to a few friends. And I checked the online reviews. These told me to listen to my gut, be careful and read the terms and conditions in detail.
Searching online, I saw that they added the condition that I might not be let free tickets, which are subject to a flat fee, even if there were tickets available.
The second thing is that one can only buy from 72 hours up until 3 hours before the flight. Not earlier.
I am not sure if there’s even a person in Wizz Air who has any idea what could mean. Actually, I’m sure there is not. The other option is worse: Wizz Air campaigns team think that people are extremely gullible and even very stupid.
I’m not saying this lightly. Let me explain why:
All You Can Fly can easily mean that “All You Cannot Fly”!
Simply because they always have the right to say no when you want to book, as I explained above, even though there are available tickets on the website. Aiming to travel quite a bit throughout the year, you may never ever be let buy seats and not be able to travel even once. How does that sound? If you think that I am exaggerating, please check and read the T&Cs. The restrictions are mentioned on the section 6.
In addition to this, being able to book a maximum of 3 days in advance makes you not being able to find any available hotels and/or find only very expensive accommodation. So, you’re trying to save on the cost of the flight but you will have to spend quite a lot more on the accommodation.
Taking all of them into account, I decided that it was just a “smart money grab scheme”.
Would I buy it?
No sir, no way!
